Garment Issues

Rust pleated skirt Forever 21, similar by Chloe here, another here - Grey top Zara, similar here - Black bucket bag Moschino

Silver tone flower statement necklace similar here  and here
Zebra print heels Bershka, similar under 25.00 USD here another by YSL under 100.00 USD

As said before I am focusing on repairing the garments I already own that need alterations. It's part of the plan behind my current 3 month shopping ban. The idea is to make sure what I have fits well. Instead of spending money on more things that I really do not need, I will spend that money adjusting them.
The rust skirt is one of those garments with "issues" - the waist is big, and has been since I bought it. This is usually the least of my problems when it comes to alterations. My most common garment issues are hems. Pants are usually too long, same as long sleeve shirts. When it comes to long evening gowns, the issue is the same: it needs hemming. That is my most common issue when it comes to garments, what's yours ?

¡Hola, Lorena! El estilismo me parece maravilloso... Soy muy fan de los maxicollares florales, pero hoy en especial he de destacar esa elegante falda roja que luces. Maravillosa!

Un beso y feliz semana,

That's a nice skirt! Looks lovely with the statement necklace and grey top. Can't even tell it needs altered, or is this post-alteration? :)

Hemming is the thing I need done most frequently too - as I'll buy things even if they aren't petite length and need them taken up!

I really, really love that skirt - the color and style are very refreshing and it's just a lovely piece - it's nice that you can do some minor alterations and get it just perfect for you.

Hemming is usually my big thing, but I'm often too lazy to get it done!

Well I think it's wonderful that you are getting everything tailored. You have a wonderful closet Lorena and that will make it even better. Despite the problems, that skirt is beautiful. I love an inverted split. Love how you paired it with grey.

In general everything is much too long on me too. Sometimes I hem things myself, especially if it's a simple straight hem. Often I'll see things in thrift stores which I know are 'projects' and have to keep myself from buying them as more often than not, I'll never get around to the alterations.

I do think the length of this skirt works with the heels, though, and I love the color.
