Walk with me

Walk with me.
I am in Buenos Aires, Argentina this weekend.

Salt works jeans - Merona light blue button down shirt - Papaya sweater - H&M floral print scarf
- Bandolino brown boots - Michael Kors black bag - Prada baroque sunglasses
I must confess I am in love with Buenos Aires.

Whenever I have to come work in this area I always
manage to spend my weekends here.

I am enamored by the buildings and the architecture.

I like their ways, people here are extremely nice and
there are so many cultural activities - even if you decide to do nothing
just walking around absorbing the city sights is marvelous.

I will not even mention food - that's just out of this world.
Whenever I am here, I always find a new treasure.

For example, this time around I visited Las Violetas,
a restaurant and coffee place which has been around since 1884.

Sat down to admire the waiters in impeccable white jackets, marble top tables
and stained glass windows while I browsed the menu.

I finally chose something from the menu called "Maria Cala" which
I thought was just hot cocoa and snacks... that is until this arrived:

Everyone in Las Violetas looked at me... I certainly did not finish this huge plate. What I did not eat, I took with me. There were children, men and women in the streets that were happy to receive the sandwiches and sweets.
Five people ate out of this, including me.
Think the waiter should have told me how huge this platter was.

On this saturday I rode on the "subte" - the subway !
The Buenos Aires subte was opened in 1913.
Oldest one in South America.
I was able to ride (on purpose) one of the oldest routes,
which maintains the original wooden cars which have been running,
well, yes since 1913.
It was like traveling back in time...

Total treat :)

WOW these are some awesome photos and Buenos Aires seems gorgeous. It is in my MUST-VISIT LIST NOW. It truly has so much history and amazing architecture. I like your simple and relaxed outfit, too.

That is one giant meal too but it looks delish.

I had no idea it was Winter in South America, now.
