February Closet Edits

Lately I have not been editing much, however a few items did make it to the consign shop or the give away bag. Here is what left the closet in February.

Blue and black top from Zara purchased in 2014, 2.60 CPW (full story here). Flower print top from Forever 21, 0.98 CPW, see how I wore it here.  A light turquoise polo shirt by Ralph Lauren was stained, see how it was worn through the years here. It's so old I could not do a CPW estimate.

A palm tree print from 2015, Sweet brand, purchased for 10.70 USD, CPW 2.14 USD. I tore the underarm and the fabric was so thin I could not sew it back. The blush pink Poetry blazer was 19.99 USD, purchased in NYC on February 2012, worn 15 times taking CPW to about 1.33 USD.

Burgundy and pink crochet earrings I made a few years back. Almost never wear them, but I did here and although I like how they look, it did not feel like me. So off they go. Finally my silver starfish flip flops 3.99 from July 2013. Worn about 10 times, about 0.40 cents per wear.

7 Items edited in February. How are your closet edits coming along ?

Sunny Bogotá

Vintage burgundy lace blazer Oscar De La Renta Red Label, similar - Black trousers Zara
Black tote bag Furla, similar - Black flats Vince Camuto, almost identical here

What a day ! I am in Bogota, Colombia and have been up since 4:00 a.m., because duty calls. I never get up that early. At what time do you get up ?

Tweed hunter

White trousers Red Valentino, similar - White vintage tank top Marks & Spencer - Vintage light blue tweed blazer Koko
Nude patent pumps Flexi - Doctor's bag Venezia - Sunglasses Gucci, similar here
Light blue vintage tweed blazer Koko, similar under 30.00 here and here longer expensive version a girl can only dream !

I love tweed and have forever been on the hunt for the perfect tweed jacket. I admit to having found one a few years ago, but at my current weight the fit is now snug.
So when I saw this vintage French blazer with its matching skirt, I figured I'd go for it while I continue the hunt or at least until the black one I already own fits again.
Is there anything you are currently hunting for ?

Summer afternoon

Pink shorts Lacoste, almost identical - Pink button down shirt H&M, almost identical
Burgundy flats French Soles, almost identical
Burgundy vintage Lancaster bag, similar newer version identical in a lighter shade via Poshmark
Crochet earrings, identical in blue here

Summer afternoon, beach bound... the simplest and most evident choice were shorts and a light breezy shirt, because I still wanted to look put together. Then again I could have worn a maxi dress.

Summer noon

White shorts Larry Levine, similar here
Blue polo shirt Carolina Herrera, similar here
Black tote bag Furla, similar here - Blue Bee Happy flats C Wonder, identical in taupe

I was running some errands in the old part of the city that's become so popular lately and decided to make a quick stop for a few pictures. It was noon, I almost melted in the scorching bright sun. Then again I cannot complain as I know many of you cannot but look forward to the warmer months.

The 1975

White tee shirt The 1975 - Jeans Banana Republic - Zebra print heels Bershka - Black blazer Nine West, similar
Black tote bag Furla, almost identical - Handcuff pearl necklace, similar in silver here

You're certainly going to laugh at this. I purchased this tee shirt on line sometime in November 2016. I bought it because it's the year I was born. I thought there were tees out there being sold, you know with the year you were born in...  Not. Happens The 1975 is actually a band. Regardless I never wore this tee until today. It's super thin and see through, it looks badly made and fits horribly. But, you know me, I had to wear it because I was not going to let those 7.00 USD go to waste ;)

How about you, what was the last item you wore that you thought "oh, this is terrible quality" ?

Finally Burberry

Pleated metallic gold skirt Burberry, identical here -  White Toast of the Town tee shirt Kate Spade, here another fun one
Black tote bag Furla, almost identical - Taupe suede shoes Breckelle's, similar
On a Saturday near the end of 2016 I was at the consignment shop and saw this metallic gold skirt. Even though it was one size too big, I still took it home and had it altered. Then it sat there until today when I am wearing for the first time. I have to admit I am not loving it, maybe it was the way it was worn. Regardless what I paid for was 60.00 USD less than the asking price for an identical one here.
