Vintage art deco pendant with cabochon emerald, another option

You know I am a fan of vintage and antiques in general.
For example an old 1850's home we bought a few years back, a vintage suitcase I picked out of a trash can (it was clean), recovering and old elevator sign that was to be thrown away and using the part as decor at home. You get the idea. Things with history are appealing to me.
So after a jewelry appreciation class I took last year at a local antiques shop I browsed the store and fell in love with this pendant.
However I inquired about the cabochon emerald on this piece because it did not seem to match the rest of the art deco esthetics. Laura told me the cabochon emerald had been added by their jeweler to the art deco piece.
Then I went back several times and it was still there. Every time I went I asked Laura to see it. I would try it on and tell her that maybe next time...
Finally took the plunge, put it on lay away (I don't like credit or credit cards) and I've finally begun wearing it.
Are you wearing a pendant or necklace today, if so what is it?

Oh, I LOVE that necklace, but yes, the pendant isn't a perfect match (although it's nice, and a big honkin' emerald is always good!). I like layaway as well - the Fluevog store here does that.

I'm not wearing a necklace today! Rings, earrings, two pins.

I love this dress on you, Lorena - it is such a nice colour. I think I would use the tie-belt in your hair (like a headband or tied around a ponytail) and wear one of your fabulous vintage belts with it.

That is a beautiful necklace and it is so perfect with the dress! I love to wear the old with the new and mix my decades, also. Today, In a most un-glamorous way, I am wearing my reading glasses around my neck, and no necklace. Hope you have a great weekend!

It's a lovely necklace and I really like the way it matches the shirt dress! :)

I'm not wearing a necklace today, although I will be when I go out later, I am just wearing a scarf at the moment! :)

This piece is beautiful, just stunning. And how cool to live in and 1850s home, wow.
