My height has never been an issue for me.
I know I am short and I forget about it.
But the mirror doesn't.

I've had these cropped black trousers in the back of my closet
(the first outfit post in my blog back in 2009)
I am aware that cropped pants are not the best looking on me.
I know that they are not working for me and I also know that
they only make me look shorter.
Also, this pair in particular is cut below the belly button and tight.
But, I wore them today.
I wore them to convince myself they have to go.
A little bit of a masochist ..?

I don't think they make you look shorter. They are a good length for you. If they were a few inches longer they wouldn't look so good. But they do look good.
I think they are a perfect option for formal dressing during hot days... you don't look shorter but if you feel that way always high heels will help!

Very smart to wear the crop pants with wedges...the pics dont make you look short at all. I would avoid flats with this though...

To be honest, I actually really like them! I don't think they make you look shorter at all. Cropped pants are my fave.
I wear cropped pants all the time, and I am also super short . . . or petite. I believe fashion starts with feeling good in the clothing you wear, so break rules, but do so with heels. ; )

I think Attitude makes all the difference.
I don't think these make you look short and I think the outfit looks rather nice, especially paired with the heels.
I'm short too and wear cropped pants all the time because shorts and my thighs don't get along. And it gets HOT where I live.
Looking tall isn't always the goal, sometimes it's just about wearing what you like or what works FOR YOU.

I still think they look good, though. I'm short too and tend to break all the short people rules. Life would be boring if you never broke the rules! As long as you feel good, who cares?
And I really like the pop of yellow!

This outfit looks really sharp and professional. I think with the wedge heel you do not look short in stature at all. You look really chic.
I know cropped pants can be tough for us shorties. But it's possible to make them work, maybe if you skinnyified them?

Don't we ALL do that every once in a while though? Wear something that doesn't suit our body type, fits a little wonky, or is off trend just because we WANT to? I know I do!
