At the park

Seems like everything worth anything in
this city is being torn down, taken apart, replaced ...

This park is a block away from where I live.

My grandparents use to bring me here when I was little.

Rogan for Target black jumper - Anne Klein animal print flats - Michael Kors black bag - Panama hat

The park use to have a merry-go-round and a small roller coaster,
which have been gone for years now.

This park faces the ocean and even though it is in the middle of a busy road
and buildings under construction it is still calm...

This park has over 40 trees and palm trees and is
surrounded by new and old buildings.

I have been reading the newspaper and watching the news and
apparently there is a project to tear down the park and build underground parking for the zone.

I shivered and died a little when I heard about it.

All the old tress, all the nests on those trees.

Each tree is a home.

I just cannot believe it and took a walk to the park today.
Have to appreciate it before its gone.

I have a great sadness about this very topic. I love trees. With a capital L. That park is heavenly. I can't say more without tearing up.

Wow, that's a great park! So intimate! I hate when they tear things up or get rid of it all together. On a positive note, you look great in that jumper Lorena. Adore your hat and flats with it.

It's so sad to see places we hold dear destroyed. Unfortunatley, it happens all too often. People sometimes just can't see the beauty. Seems like dollar signs tend to get in the way!

Oh, what a shame! It is a lovely old park.

Wow! It seems so wrong to destroy such a beautiful place like that. But it's good that you were able to appreciate it a little more before that happened.
