DIY: Tassel Necklace

I have to say that I had not realized that you could do so many beautiful things with tassels. I re discovered tassels through many of your blogs.

So, I picked up a handful of silk tassels in my recent trip to Marrakech...

 I am now thinking I should have picked up more. 

Today's DYI is a plain chain and tassel necklace, for this you will need:

1 chain - you decide the length.

 small tassels 

plyers and small silver toned hoops to attach the tassels to the chain

For the chain I picked up 3 Xhilaration brand chains as I liked the thickness and the metal tone. 

I also liked that I could change the length to my needs by connecting them with their own clasp.

Above are the chains and below all the moroccan silk tassels, 

which were actually keychains

You can go subtle and do something colorful with 

3 tassels or go overboard with as many as you want!

Another simple option is just a silk cord and one large tassel  as seen below:
