I've tried to stay away from black for a long time. Had colorful phases, had nude phases and can only say that wearing black and looking good is almost effortless. This full black outfit is proof, all it needed was a dash of gingham and stripes.

I am always on board for an all-black outfit - I love the dash of gingham you added to this. It's a really nice touch.

Love the playful touches in this outfit with the gingham and stripes! I agree that black is classic and will never let you down. By chance, the post I am working on now revolves around black and white-we are on the same wavelength this week. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I wear culottes quite often but I see that polish woman 40+ dont like them. Very often I read comment like "I dont like culottes, because I look bad in them, but You...". I think that most important clue in culottes is lenght - they must finish on the right part - not in the thickest part of the leg, but the slimmest. Besides, this rule applies not only to sledges but also to other clothes.

When I saw the title of the post I almost thought it was a misnomer until I got to the last photos! I often struggle with all black (especially in the winter) but a LBD with a chic black bag I can get behind.
