Keeping it real

One of the things I miss about the "good old days" of blogging is that it was not so commercial. It was just a great way to share fashion, meet new people and be inspired. In this new era I often see garments worn just to be showcased and not part of every day lives.  In my case and most of the ladies I follow, it's not so.
For example, today I am wearing shoes that could easily be 8 years old and the Carven top is well over 15 years old... Cheers to you for keeping it real.

So true. Instagram is full of people going into stores every week just to try on clothes to make people want to buy them. It's a little strange to me. I much prefer people who show what they're actually wearing and it's what I try to do as well. (sometimes I cheat with shoes, haha)

I love blogs that present a more "honest" view of actual outfits - yours included!

Yes, I've even heard of bloggers buying items, taking photos of them and just returning them! I love your real everyday outfits!

Yes, I'm always more interested in honest style than what was worn just to take a photo! You do that so well, it's nice to see how you wear and enjoy your wardrobe over the years! :)

Hope that your week is going well and you have a great Easter weekend :)

I'm with you. Sure, I love finding new companies to support and blog about, but I also have so many clothes from ages ago too. I'm all about making our closets work for us and not having to go buy new everything all the time. Except shoes...I'm addicted to those..LOL

Yes, I always hate that so many bloggers are just playing dress up for the blog. I often wonder if they ever have a real occasion to wear some of the pieces they showcase!

The black and red combo is so classic and I love that you still have so many pieces in your closet still being worn at 5+ years old.

I agree! As a new blogger, I am trying to share how you can be fashionable while now spending money right and left and sharing other parts of my life. Havent gotten to the marketable part of blogging but hoping that when I do I will stay true to myself.

I always keep it real too. I wear IRL 95% of my outfits. Love this sophisticated look in my country's colors - red and black. You can never go wrong with any of those two colors, Lorena.

In my latest post I talk a little bit about Michigan and its great lakes. =) Come check it out and join my Thursday Moda Linkup on Thursdays, too. Looking forward to my Birthday Blog party too and you being one of the bloggers I invited. =)

Thanks, Ada. =)
