Far from that

Let me tell you that when I inform friends or family members that I have to travel for work I am pretty sure they think I'm going on vacation. It's so far from that. It's getting up at 1:00 am to catch a flight, bad airport food, weird Uber drivers, longer days and making the most of your time in order to get all that you have set out to do done. It's feet that hurt, skin that reacts, it's not drinking enough water and then thinking about all you need to do at home. It's stress and it's time away from those you love.

Do you travel for work? If you do, what's the feedback you get from those around you when you do?

I don't travel much for work these days but I did regularly when I was in grad school - a seemingly endless circuit of conferences, etc and it definitely caused me all kinds of stress.

I think that would be really hard, I would hate to be away from my family for long. I very rarely travel for my job, and while sometimes the occasional work trip does sound like fun, I'm glad that I mostly stay where I am.

Oh, HELL no! I know it's not easy! Both my husband and I have always resisted any kind of work travel - but he has to go to Vancouver next week! At least it's not far.

Love this slip dress over the red top - such a fresh look.

I bet traveling for work is very different that from vacation! Cute look.
