Vintage Gifts

My super fashionable great aunt was in town a few weeks ago.
She's my Fairy-Godmother of vintage and always surprises me
with something spectacular from her own collection.

This time around she gave me gorgeous vintage Matisse
necklace and earring set.
Its what seems to be cooper and green enamel.

I had not seen anything like it...

I was smitten by the second piece: a garnet brooch.

While its missing a garnet, it really stands out.

I cannot wait to wear these.

Those are lovely pieces! :) Took me a while to spot that missing garnet too - definitely won't be noticeable when you're wearing it :) What a generous aunt!

Wow, what gorgeous jewelry. I, right now, am trying to shrink my body so I can fit into your old skirt-suits. No luck so far... :-)

That is so lovely your aunt gifts you pieces from her collection. Nothing is better than one of a kind vintage, and they are all gorgeous.

I have some Matisse pieces! They are from the early 60s, mostly. Yes, that's copper and enamel. What a lovely set! I love that brooch too - so lovely.
