I moved a few months ago. My custom made closet was quite a feat.
It's not that big but it was made to fulfill a lot of requests.
In less than 6 months one of the clothes bars broke. Maybe I should have specified it needed to carry a lot of weight,

Yikes, that doesn't sound good. I'm grateful that my closet builder asked a lot of questions - I have so much storage, and it's all solid wood and reinforced bars (they don't even bend).

Sad sad news about your wardrobe bar though! I went through a few clothes hangers before my current wardrobe - they would all break under the weight! I did downsize a lot for my current wardrobe but so far it still looks as sturdy as when my uncle installed it all for me! :)

Sorry to hear about your newly installed closet bar mishap-hope you get the problem sorted soon. A custom closet sounds positivly divine! We love in a 1950's house, too, and people had a lot less to store back then. This outfit is so chic and the vintage earrings-I am coveting them! Hope you are well and have a good week!
