No jeans after 40

Jeans Liz Claiborne - Butterfly print heels Nine West

Green blouse LuckyCom - Black vintage hand bag Paloma Picasso -
Textile necklace from San Telmo market in Argentina

The other day I read that Carolina Herrera said women over 40 should not wear jeans, that is her opinion and then there was the backlash of all those defending that women over 40 could wear jeans.

I think it depends on your style.  In my case, I do wear jeans, however I admit that these days I own less pairs than before. Also now I go for darker shades and higher waists.

These days I am editing jeans, keeping those that really work for me.

What's your take on Mrs Herrera's comment?

Plain crazy - that is my take. :) Love how you styled this outfit, really fabulous. Lise

Like everything, it's on a scale, right? For her, no more jeans after 40, for someone else, hell yes, jeans after 40. I'm more on the "nah, can't be bothered with jeans when I have all this other cool stuff I'd rather wear" side of the scale.

I'm more of a "wear whatever the heck you want" proponent!

I think you should always wear whatever makes you happy no matter your age! I will be very sad to give up my jeans, I see myself wearing them well past my 40s for sure, haha!

Hope that you are having a good week so far :) It's a busy one here!

Putting an age limit on jeans or any other article of clothing is plain silliness to me! I actually hated jeans when I was younger and didn't even own a pair until I was in my 30's. Now in my late 40's, I have a denim obsession! I love these wide legged jeans on you. Your shirt is so great. What a beautiful color. And your shoes and necklace are the perfect additions to elevate a jeans outfit. I love it!
