Final Flashback to April 2019

Original post

A final flashback to April 2019.

Over the last few days I have been going back to all of the years I have been blogging, picking a post in April for each year blogged, which is ten.

I've been trying to recover that sense of normality that keeps you grounded, yet you do not know until it's gone.

No matter how much I search for it in my old blog posts, I know I cannot recover it. I also have come to understand that it does not pertain to me to get that normality back but to all, we have to do this together.

I should have started a new job this week. Of course because of current situation that job offer is gone and now not only am I missing the past but also missing that new job I had.

I miss it all, what it was and what it could have been.

I'm really sorry to hear about the job, that's awful - I hope this all passes soon but I know that's probably not realistic and it just drives me batty,

It's crazy what can happen in the span of a few weeks! So many people have lost their jobs and others are worried about losing them. I'm in the boat of crossing my fingers that all my clients keep me around. My husband is also wondering what will happen come May.

Dear Lorena, I'm so sorry that you can't start your new job. I really hope that you despite the current situation will find another job. But I can totally follow your thoughts ... You look lovely in your look from April 2019 btw! All the best to you!

Oh, no, Lorena! I'm so sorry to hear that this horrible situation meant that you lost the job you just got! That really sucks, my dear.

I hope you find a new "normal" soon. This will end one day! I know it!

Oh no Lorena! i'm so sorry you lost your new job - hang in there! I hope this is all over soon and life can go back to being a bit more normal. While I have my job for now a lot of people I had to say goodbye to a lot of people I worked with last week. It was a very emotional goodbye as some of them I was responsible for training when they first started with our company almost 10 years ago! Thankfully a lot of them had other things lined up.

Hubby is a much more essential part of IT than me at this time so he's crazy busy, but a lot of our family members have been impacted. We are lucky the government has some support for them until things get back to normal - I hope you have something like that!

So hoping things improve soon!

I'm so sorry Lorena, you have every right to miss what was and what should have been. Normalcy may not return anytime soon, but I hope that in time, you're able to find a new normal that works for you.

That is so awful about the new job, I'm not sure which is worse, what is gone or what could have been? This feels like normal now, and the next normal will be different, life as we knew it in 2019 could be gone for a while, with all sorts of new normals to adjust to.

I'm really sorry to hear about the job. Hopefully you'll find something even better before too long.
