Too big

Printed rose embroidered collar top Sister Jane
Black satin pleated skirt Burberry, similar by Armani under 35.00 USD
Black velvet block heel Juicy Couture, similar - Metallic satchel Stella Rittwagen
Vintage brown satin belt with gold buckle Escada
When I bought this skirt it was too big and I didn't care. But now I do, because the fact that its two sizes bigger than I normally use has not allowed me to wear it. Yes, I know I should have it altered.
Currently, I am in the hunt for a new seamstress as Maria, my current one, is not answering my calls or text messages and it's been a week now. She has a vintage dress that needed altering and have wanted to pick up for two weeks now. Maybe she went dancing in it ?
So I added a belt in the hopes I could get by and make it look like a paper bag waist skirt. I don't know if I fooled you, but I certainly did not fool me.
I need to find a new seamstress. Oh and do you ever wonder if your seamstress wears your clothes or am I totally deranged?

Good luck finding a new seamstress and getting your vintage dress back. I am sure she must be busy or unwell. Hope she gets in touch soon. I love the whole outfit and the belt did the trick very well. Happy weekend xoxo Cris

It's a shame the belt trick didn't work with your skirt! I hope you can track down your seamstress. I went to mine every few months, went to her shop once and it was closed! Found her again via facebook and she was working from home for a bit, but now she is retired so I also need to find a new one! There's a lady that does it that I want to try, I need to message her as I have a few things I want altered at the moment!

Maybe she's just been sick? I would think that would be an unwritten rule: not to wear your clients things!

I like this outfit - the shape is great on you! But yes, the skirt looks a bit big. Great piece, though - sell it and let it go to a good home!

xoxo
