Blazering

Black trousers Mossimo, similar - Purple brocade vintage blazer Oscar De La Renta Red Label, FABULOUS one here
Black vintage leather bag Craft & Barrow, similar - Black bow patent flats Kate Spade, similar
Purple brocade vintage blazer Oscar De La Renta, similar here - Purple belt Kenneth Cole New York

My last purchases have included an amazing array of blazers I've yet to wear.
For example today's purple lace brocade blazer, its from Oscar De La Renta's Red Label.
It originally came with a skirt and I did not even try to get into because it was not going to fit. I purchased the two piece set knowing this and gave the skirt away. Because of the difference between the sizing in the skirt and blazer I am guessing this is from the late 1980's where tighter skirts and bigger tops with shoulder pads were in.
Today is its first appearance with ankle length trousers, a simple tee and a belt that matches the blazer like they were meant to be...
Are you into blazers this season ?
.
.
.

Dear Lorena, I could imagine you are right with your assumption - the cuts were different in the 80s. But the blazer suits you very well and I'm convinced that the woman who got the skirt is also happy about it!
Enjoy the last days of 2017!

Ooh that is a fabulous blazer, I love it! I really like wearing blazers, but I feel like there's such a short window of time that they work--I can't really layer them under a coat but it's too cold now to wear them on their own.

That is a stunning blazer! I'm glad the blazer worked for you even if you had to give the skirt away. I've been enjoying blazers more lately for the office, and just bought one a couple months ago. I didn't wear them much over maternity leave which is a shame!

Vintage De La Renta, how lovely. I have a brocade design blazer as well and it's one of my favorite pieces. You look gorgeous in yours -- digging the burgundy.

That sure is one funky sweater. I can envision the skirt being worn with a sheer black blouse. That would be super sexy.

So bad that you had to separate the skirt from the blazer but I'm sure whoever got it is really happy. I'm obsessed with that blazer! I had to zoom in my screen just to see all the details in it.

I do love a good blazer, Lorena! Especially one so unique and interesting as this one! What a gorgeous color and it is so chic over all black. Great look. As Ada's co-host for her Thursday Moda Link Up last week, I want to thank you for joining us!
