HMD

Black trousers - White vintage lace blouse (no brand) similar - Yellow heels Tsubo, similar
Black tote bag Roberto Cavalli, here is a colourful option from the brand - Window pane blazer Forever 21

After I put together this outfit I realised that almost everything I am wearing I got for free ;) The white vintage lace blouse was a hand me down from my 90+ year old grand aunt. The trousers were also a hand me down, they belonged to a friend. The window pane blazer was also a HMD from a cousin. The shoes I bought on line years ago and the bag is from my Cavalli days, so it was also free. When was the last time you wore a HMD ?

It took me a minute to figure out that HMD was "hand me down"! I haven't had a hand-me-down since I was a kid. I consider other clothes to be swaps, since they usually come from people who've been the beneficiary of my giveaways.

I love the lacy cuffs on this.

You have really been rockin' the black and white, lately! Love this blazer, and the ruffled check dress from your last post. Also, great closet edit. You are super organized and efficient in your documentation. I have clothes in my closet that I know I have been wearing for well over five years, but I have no idea how often I have worn them, or how much I paid for them. Bravo to you!

Love the little touches on this - the colourful shoes and the lace sleeves peeking out from under the blazer! :)

I have quite a few hand-me-downs in my wardrobe, always have, even when I was little. I remember being so excited to get a big bag of clothes from a family friend to go through and pick out the pieces I wanted, it was a wonderful occasion! I've tried to pay it forward when I can too. Although now I'm older it's rare for people to want to do that, I do often pick through what my sister removes from her wardrobe, and she does the same for me. I've also given a couple big bags to a family friend who had a daughter around my size. It's good to pay it forward! :)

Hope you are having a nice start to the week :)

Your family is full of stylish people! All your "hand me downs" look so good, specially that shirt. Now I can only think about the beautiful pieces my grandma and grandaunt had and I didn't take advantage of!:(

A little eclectic. Nice combination of different style - vintage lace blouse and plaid jacket. And colored shoes. Looks really good.
