Pending to wear..

I did a quick check on new items that entered the closet from January to October 2016, I did not dare count the 2016 November purchases. Happens I have not worn many, too many of them. They come from all walks of life, some are thrifted, birthday gifts, purchases while traveling...
I separated them into categories and dresses was the one I had the most of, that being 6 and I am not even counting the other new dresses I have in the closet from 2015, also unworn. Most the below are pretty casual, so I am not sure what it is I am waiting for to wear them..
The next category was belts, four of them. Seems like I'm not wearing belts lately... period.
Next up were accessories, followed by tops and trousers...
This makes no sense, so over the following days I will be making an effort to put these items into rotation.  I'd love to know how many items you have still unworn in your closet... maybe I won't feel that bad.

what are you going to do with all these beautiful pieces?
Usually I donate stuff that I don't wear anymore... :)

Oh, I'm going to make you feel bad - I have only one unworn item in my closet, a white shell that is more of a spring/summer item.

My trick is that as soon as I get an item, I make an outfit out of it, and set it aside. It's better to wear it right away and find out you like it/hate it, than to let it sit in your closet, not even worn!

I have at least half a dozen unworn items, and a whole sack full of unworn second-hand/vintage items that need mending/altering before wearing. Whoops!! x

Dear Lorena, you shouldn't feel bad! I fear I have much more unworn items in my closet although I have to admit I improved in this context as I buy now mostly only what I definitely wear. But unfortunately it still works not always ...

Wow! Yo apenas compro una prenda nueva y 1)Me la pongo el mismo día o 2) me la pongo al día siguiente. No suelo dejar ropa nueva en mi clóset porque luego me olvido de ella :P

I use to have a considerable amount. LOL I've paired down over the years. It will be interesting to see how many make the cut Lorena.

Oh I love the embroidered dress, such a pretty piece! :)

I used to have SO MANY things in my wardrobe with tags on. Having my "wear twice in the month I buy it" rule has helped stop that, although there are some exceptions to that rule. I picked up a winter coat on super super sale that I won't get to wear until next year now...but I love it too much to send it back, so I'm breaking the rule!

I like the dress with the white bow on it. I probably have about 5 things that I've never worn in my closet right now -- maybe 5 to 10 actually.

Thanks for sharing your ongoing journey in this post, Lorena. You are so organized and diligent, you inspire me to get moving and make more headway on what should stay in my closet, and what should go!
