Wera

There is no way for me to know when I buy something
if I will wear it right a way or wait years to do so.
Wera Stockholm skirt - Brown turtleneck
Take this skirt for example, a vintage find
from a trip to Poland almost two years ago.
I adhered to the "if not worn in 6 months, give it away"
rule, it would have been long gone by now.
Brown tote bag Coach - Gold flats Fabrizio Gianni
It was not until two weeks ago that I finally wore it.
The reason ?
Well, let's just say that every time
I reached for it, I did not find anything to match it...
It's made in Sweden by Wera Stockholm, a brand
that does not seem to be around anymore.

What are you wearing today ?
When was the last time you wore it ?

A few things I will keep around even if I haven't worn them, but most things in my closet I like to wear regularly. Good thing you kept this skirt! It's beautiful on you!

I'm so glad you kept this skirt too - it really is lovely on you and is such a nice print! :)

After finding far too many things in my wardrobe new with tags on that no longer worked for me, I set myself a rule of wearing things twice after I buy them. Otherwise I buy things 'just in case' or just thinking they will work without actually making sure it belongs in my wardrobe. I've been doing it 2 years and I'm not perfect with it, but it does help me make sure I'm buying things that get worn :)

I'm wearing a top I probably haven't worn in a year, and a skirt I haven't worn in a few weeks. My shoes were likely worn about 8 months ago.

I don't like those "rules". I'm a maximalist! I like having lots of things and "resting" from some of my clothes for a year or two before I wear 'em again. I will, however, always try (depending on the season) to wear them right away. No sense in keeping something that fits poorly or that you realize you don't really like it or love it - find out right away.

I really adore this lovely skirt - it reminds me of dishes from the 50s/60s.

There is no time period for me, if I like something I will keep it for a long time even if I don't wear it that much. Other things I get tired of quickly and give away after a few wears. I'm glad you kept the skirt, it is super cute.

Glad you found a top to wear with this cute skirt. I'm wearing a tropical style top that I actually wear at least three times a month!

Fine turtleneck and skirt (Polish:), but indeed not perfect fit together. Try those items in the future in different looks. Dont waste it.
