The Bigger Picture

I think it's pretty normal to edit your pictures.
Pink shorts Lacoste - White top vintage - Silver flats Zara - Brown tote bag Coach - Sunglasses Tommy Hilfiger
In my case, editing usually consists of cropping and adjusting
shadows and colour intensity.
I think its ok as long as we keep it real.
This is the bigger picture.

First---I love the pink with the silver shoes---I'll be doing a blog series on silver shoes next week!!
Second---I always have to edit my pictures to get the lighting correct...I only wish I could be such a great photographer as to not need to do that. :) But I've never done any changing of the bodies---we are who we are, and we might as well love it, right?

Ha, that's very cool - I like getting the different versions of the picture. I crop to get the crap from my house out of the picture only. It's very distracting, I think. I do very little colour correction.

I can never edit the colours right on my photos, so I just try to set the camera up as best as I can each time. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes I fail, haha!

But it's true a little cropping can hide the bigger picture sometimes. Think of all the 'perfection' you see on instagram where they frame a shot perfectly to hide the bad things. The only editing I do is cropping so the most I'm hiding is a toddler or a neighbour running around in the background, ha! And some days I can't even crop him out, he loves the camera!

Absolutely okay! We get to be artists with our blogs and can play around with photos as we please. I do minor editing with most of my snaps and really enjoy the process. I find it to be a great way to unwind after a busy day.

Very pretty pink outfit. I like how the dark bag balances the soft hue. Great choice!

I couldn't agree more. I take nearly all of my photos my my phone so editing is almost always required!

Love this outfit!
I take my photos on my phone too and usually have to crop one or other of my dogs out of them if I take them at home!
I can't get the lighting right whether I edit or not though - probably need to take a photography course!

Editing is just as much a part of the process as taking the photos. While I always try to do as much cropping as I can with the camera itself, sometimes it's just necessary to do it in 'post production'. I always edit all the pimples off my face, the world doesn't need to see them, and I'd prefer to not remember them.
