The Green H&M Cardigan

I've been looking back at what I wore 6 years
ago when I started this blog.
Then tried to recreate my first outfit posted here
only to realise that there was only one
garment left (which is now gone).

Jeans Liz Claiborne - Brown sunglasses Michael Kors
So I went on to the next outfit post.
There I wore my green H&M cardigan purchased
in New York and a colourful belt that I think might
be from the Gap.

Brown Madison bag Coach - Brown wedges Kenneth Cole Reaction
Of the entire look I could only find the green cardigan
and the belt...

Printed blouse Persimon vintage - Green cardigan H&M

Below is the picture from original post from the end of July 2009.

I also saw that during the last 6 years this garment
has made it out of the closet 6 times, an average
of once a year.

July 2009                                          August 2009

I've never been able to wear it in a way I love.
In fact some of these I totally loathe ! ;)

Maybe its the garment, maybe its the styling, but
now I am letting it go.

I feel so guilty when I have things I only wear once a year! (which makes the ones I don't even wear once a year worse, haha) I do like the color of the cardigan, but I'm not crazy about the cut.

This is reminding me I need to do some seriously closet cleaning! I have similar items that I don't get enough wear out of and really need to let go...

Some cardigans, just don't have structure.

I adore your latest outfit featuring this cardi. It's grass green hue is vibrant and fun, and the tie waist adds such great visual interest. I'd have a hard time parting with it myself, but as always, if you're not loving it any more, then it's time to say goodbye and focus on pieces that do currently make your heart sing.

the cardigan is cute, but if you don't love it you can let it go.

over the weekend i filled a yet another giant garbage bag with clothes and shoes to donate. there were so many shirts that i never even wore, but got a good deal on. ummmm, a good deal isn't really a good deal unless you WEAR THE CLOTHES! yeesh! when will i ever learn?!?!?! must try harder in this area!
