Let me rephrase that, as "wearing a one shoulder top to work
without looking like a skank."
I know you have seen me wear this top a lot lately.
Well, I wanted to wear it to work and today I did.
It's a black one shoulder top from Alice & Olivia.
I did the simplest thing: layer.
I used the one shoulder top as a layer.
Layered it on top of a Express lace top.
I felt it was a little dressy to go to work, specially on
a Thursday.
Thursdays are almost Fridays and this usually means
super casual or just jeans.
Not today.
So, here is where I would like your input.
Yay or Nay ?

Es un enterito???? es lindo Lorena...bien glam...
como siempre una chica glamurosa!
so clever!
um, a resounding Yay. I love the layering. Way to make these two super sexy pieces work appropriate.
i don't think you could EVER look skanky! you are classy!
and i think i would prefer it with a bare shoulder, but that is just me! you look gorgeous regardless!
I like it; clever idea.
Cute with the lace. I have this one-sleeved thin-knit sweater (that I've had for YEARS) that I wear over a collared shirt - it's amazing how something so simple can be so great.

A great big Yeah!It looks very simple and sophisticated.
Oh, I LOVE that. The pretty pale lace against the strong, curved line of the black top -- just perfect. It looks like a piece you would see on a designer's runway.
I'm all for layering, and I love the pale lace. I like that you are bold enough to wear the one shouldered top!
I had a brief lusting towards them a few years ago and bought a couple, but I always chickened out and wore a cardigan over them.
simple but chic outfit! and i adore this layering idea very much!
since i love lace, so its a YAY! :)
(pssst.. check out my recent post abt lace :P )
Happy weekend ya'll
Cheers,

What a great idea! I usually hide my one-shoulder top under a jacket. You've inspired me!
