Shrunk

This in my MNG Mango cashmere sweater. I shrunk it.  I forgot it was supposed to be hand washed and air dried. I machine washed it and then put it in the drier. Wanted to beat myself up when I saw what I had done. It fits a 7 year old. I felt horrible but did not want to let go, because besides being 6 sizes too small for me, I loved it. So it hung there until I realized I have a friend who has a little girl who is 7 and that she would love it and she did.

It was purchased in December 2012, worn Here is how it was worn ten times taking cost per wear to 2.70 USD.

Gosh, I've done that too many times to tell. You would think by this age, I'd get smarter. But I'm a little lazy when I do the wash!! At least someone you know was able to use it.

I do my cashmere in our washing machine on cold/delicate, but I block it flat to dry. That's cool that a wee fashionista will get your old sweater, though - I think you got excellent cost-per-wear out of it!

My last laundry disaster was a gorgeous silk 80s dress that I wore once and sweated in - this was a few years ago. I only put it in the washer (delicate/cold) and laid it flat to dry, but it shrunk like crazy! Very sad about that!

Oh no :( What a shame ti shrunk but great you could pass it onto someone who would love it!

I've only ever shrunk something once, it was on it's second wash using the same settings as the first so I'm not sure why it would do that! haha! Oh well.

Hope that you are having a great weekend :)

Oh no! Thankfully I've never shrunken anything, but I did let a blush top get in with the darks and now it's grey. I also had a pair of red pj pants tinge another load pink. Hummm. maybe I should wash those pants with the top...
