Cheap vs inexpensive

I've had this is my mind for a while and today I'll try to write it down and hopefully it will make sense: the difference between cheap and inexpensive.
Cheap is usually clothing in fast fashion stores that do not last as they are poorly made. Thin fabric, uneven hems, big stitching, for me it has to do with how it looks. But, what happens when you buy second hand?
I thought of it today, well for a very simple reason, my tee and trousers were 1.07 USD each.  The pants are Tahari, the top does not have a brand label or place of manufacture, but the fabric is stretchy and it hangs well. Now, I consider these items inexpensive and not cheap.
Cheap or inexpensive also has to do with how your economy is, as something cheap for someone else may be expensive for me...

What's your take on cheap vs inexpensive clothing?

It's all in the semantics, how you interpret each of those words. On a monetary level, they mean the same thing: less money. On a quality level (as you have defined them), one is poor and one is better, undifferentiated by money.

I'll always take quality over price, but it's even better when quality is available for less money!

I think Sheila nailed it - I see cheap and inexpensive as the same thing money-wise but quality wise there is definitely a slight difference!

I like this outfit, the scarf is a nice touch of colour :)

Hope you are having a nice start to your week! It's another busy one here!

The weekday wear linkup is live on my blog, I'd love you to join! :)

This is so true! There is definitely a difference in quality between the two words even though they both mean the same thing, ha ha. I love my inexpensive designer clothes and dislike anything super cheap.

You are right that 'cheap' invokes a sense of poor quality - and oh dear, a decade into my blog name and now I'm wondering if maybe it was a bad choice!!

But of course, I'm always searching for good quality for less money, and what a score on those pants!
