April's closet editions

In April I edited four pairs of shoes, a hand bag and two pieces of costume jewelry. How about you ?

Bright blue heels by Charles Jourdan Paris, purchased in 2015 for 21.40 USD, worn 17 times, CPW 1.25 USD, these blue beauties had to go as the side lining became undone. Grey and yellow pumps by Kelsi Dagger purchased in 2014 for 40.00 USD, CPW 1.80 USD as they were worn 22 times. These had to go as the inner sole was peeling horribly peeling they were very scuffed and scraped.

My black patent pointy shoes from Zara were short lived in my closet. I got them prior to a work trip in August. The walked Cannes, Mexico City, Lima, Bogota, Panama and got about 20 wears, taking them to 1.34 CPW in 8 months. I let go of these because during one of the trips the heel was peeled.

The red burgundy suede Melissa Anglomania by Vivienne Westwood have a long story.  These were purchased in the Sao Paulo Melissa flagship store and were about 150.00 USD. I love these shoes, yes they are plastic but they have beeb super comfortable since day one, the are eye catchers to the point I have been stopped just to be asked where I have bought them. Worn at least 65 documented times, CPW is at about 2.30 USD in 8 years. Let go because they were scuffed and the velvet hd come off in certain parts.

My black epi leather Furla work tote. I cannot tell you how much I love this tote, bought it in February 2018. But I had to let go after 112 documented wears as the handle/shoulder strap peeled because I hung it on a hanger, mea culpa. This sweet bag had a 0.38 cost per wear.

Gold tone chain necklace, this was a gift and its beginning to get dark/tarnish, I cleaned it but I think it's time to let go. The stainless steel Tous bear like ring I've worn a few times, it's too big and I do not feel stainless steel plated in gold does me any favors.

This adds up to seven edits in April. How are your closet edits coming along?

Love the bright blue heels, its a shame they had to go because of th4e linine! So far I haven't added or edited anything in my closet this month (I am getting Disney shirts in the mail today though, but not sure that counts because its PJs/Disney-only wear ;) )

You did well with the editing! I haven't removed anything from my wardrobe yet but I have been travelling lately so I haven't been home to discard things!

Hope that you are having a great week :)

Aw, it's always sad to lose a favourite piece, but things wear out! They are thing, they are meant to be used, and good for you for using them so well!

I culled my plaid trousers from the other day. Just done with 'em. I'm having a big giveaway at my next Winesday, and I'm sure those will go.

Nice edit, Lorena. It's especially hard to let go of those pieces that are loved but just wear out, like shoes! I have been slow to edit this season, so far. I usually add more to my discard box as it becomes obvious what is being passed over in my wardrobe as the spring and summer goes on. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
