January Edits

This month I let go of one flower print kimono cardigan from Forever 21 and a grey FCUK bicycle print dress. With both I had fit issues and never felt they looked really good on me.

A black and gold tone Tous bear cross body bag that I did not wear enough.
A gold tone air balloon necklace, black heart necklace and multiples black heart rings necklace from Forever 21. They were pretty much losing their luster.

A tan Ferragamo look alike belt that fell apart, a fake LV bag that was given to me as a present years ago. I wore it maybe a handful of times but was so conscious about it being fake it did not feel right.

Light green and silver color butterfly pendant and matching earrings, I just did not wear them and the last time I did, they did not feel like me.
My Gap boyfriend jeans got a hole in them. I am going to miss this pair the most. Eleven items this month. How are you doing with your closet edits?

You are doing well! I got rid of 6 pieces but bought 3 more so I'm not doing the best with my wardrobe edits, haha! I am looking for a particular kind of top and I'm hunting the opshops which means I end up finding gems I just 'have' to have, even if it's not what I went in for!

Hope that you are having a lovely weekend :) We have a kids birthday party today which will be fun. Noisy, but fun, haha!

I think sometimes closet edits are necessary and I understand you miss the jeans most.

I try to regularly go through my closet too. Good for you. Sounds like smart things to let go of based on what you said.

Kudos to you, Lorena, for your decisive editing skills! At this time of year, the middle of winter where I live, I am examining and wearing (or editing out) the heavier seasonal clothes that have not been worn, yet. Usually I wear my favorites first, at the beginning of the season, so it should get easier to cull as the less worn items become more apparent!

Great post, I've just got rid of a few pairs of jeans and some tops. As I have been working more towards the capsule wardrobe way of dressing I feel that the staple clothes get worn out more as you wear them a lot.

Hope you are having a great week so far.

Great edits! I am constantly trying to get rid of items I no longer wear!

I remember that bicycle dress being popular so long ago, it feels like another lifetime. I think you were right to finally let it go.

Kick that bicycle dress to the curb - unflattering no more!

My own edits are going pretty good. A little bit here, a little bit there.
