There's nothing better than an honest comment. I think they are underrated. They are sometimes difficult to come by, because everyone wants to be liked and does not want to seem critic.
I was not very happy with how this outfit looked, it was my first take on this metallic linen skirt and I just kept looking at what went wrong as this would seem like a great flat lay...
Then Sheila just said it: I needed a longer top because there was something in the middle that was just not working. You know what ? She was right on, I tried this longer top and I felt so much better in this time around.
How do you react to comments that make suggestions or that just say that what you are wearing is not working ?

I agree with you, I think honesty is the best policy. I personally like hearing suggestions from readers, always great to hear other perspectives. Those heels are so cute and unique!
What a beautiful skirt! Love the color and the whole combo with black!
I love Sheila's comments, I learn so much about fashion and style from her blog and her thoughtful comments :) I like getting feedback on my outfits, ideas for things to try next or ideas whey things weren't working when I share that I didn't like them! :) One of the best bits about blogging, feedback from all around the world!

Nice and perfect looking outfit..
I think it's helpful when people give their opinions, because it could be something I never thought about.
Who cares if you don't always agree---we should always be open to other's thoughts.
But in all honesty--can we talk about the shoes??? They probably would look better on me...ha ha ha ha!!

I am so much agree: honesty is the best posisy. However sometimes I'm not sure if I can come up with a good comment when dislike something, or don't like as much as I could. I think it's great if you can comment like Sheila suggesting a specific change.
P.S. I do always have issues with styling this kind of waistline hem and simply avoid it all the time.
Hey Lorena, I totally agree with you, honest opinions help a lot more especially when you think you're wrong. Great post dear.
OMG, is this the same skirt?? Holy smokes, it looks miles better in this outfit! I love the simplicity of the turtleneck (I might have added a chunky necklace or scarf), and the shoes are divine (I want them).
I'm always afraid I'm going to hurt someone's feelings when I'm blunt - thank you for understanding!
Honestly I learned a lot from honest comments :) And the tip you got is good because your outfit is perfect with the golden skirt and the longer top!

I think as long as the comment is meant to be helpful, it is great! I love the way this outfit turned out. The longer top looks wonderful with that skirt!
Your earrings are the cutest. I would say that I'm totally fine with constructive criticism or suggestions in comments. Doesn't bother me at all.
I hardly wear skirts because of the tuck problem. I hate the blousyness.
I think the longer top worked well to solve the issue, and this look feels reminiscent of something Atlantic Pacific would wear.
Chic on the Cheap
It looks great now but I like how it looked the first time you wore it too.
As long as the honest opinion is said in a polite manner I'm happy to hear it!
