Zipper Zipper

Khaki zipper skirt Burberry,  I love this yellow zipper skirt option
White blouse H&M Conscious Collection, almost identical by Chloe here, affordable option here
Nude patent heels Flexi, similar here

If you're a frequent visitor you will know that this zipper skirt was a recent find. When I saw it my first thought was "exposed zipper items are dated, nobody wears them these days". With that though in mind I was sold ! Because this also means that it's very likely to make a comeback and besides, how could I say no to a great Burberry skirt at a super price ?

Haha, I like your thought process, and who can say no to a designer item? I still have my exposed zipper pencil skirt hanging out in my closet, waiting for a comeback I suppose!

It is such a fun skirt, and it will go with so much in a classic neutral shade like this :) You should enjoy wearing it! I like your thinking that it will probably be due for a big resurgence if you don't see it around so much any more, but I also think it's important to wear what you love no matter what's trending! :)

Hope you are having a great week! I'm doing some last minute things before Christmas this week, I'm so looking forward to the big day.

I love the bold zipper detailing on it, and frankly, who cares whether the exposed zipper is a dead trend, or upcoming trend, or whatever? You're right to seek out pieces that are top quality and speak to you vs. just buying whatever's in style.

Why don't my H&M tops ever look that nice? :)

Thanks for the weigh-in on the grey short pants. I'm probably not going to wear them again - they were just so CHEAP, and they feel icky.

My mom (the 70+ model on my blog) has a skirt that she made with a zipper in the front like that!!
It's such a fabulous feature, Lorena!!

For me the best item here is the H&M blouse. It has great style, a little street style, a little extravagant, a little elegant. Skirt is average, this zip is too visible, like dominant, divides it into 2 parts, it cause bad effect (it need sth referring in the upper part od outfit).

Zippers and buttons on the front are definitely not dated and as both my recent khaki skirt and mustard corduroy skirts which I trecently purchased show, stores have an abundance of them. I happen to love a khaki skirt with a white blouse. Super super crisp and elegant look!

I think I have done that too with tops. That khaki skirt is truly amazing and I love the zipper on the side too. Burberry hmm?!
