Sewing

I have never sewed anything in my life.

In fact, when I bought this fabric over a year ago, it was to
find someone to make a skirt for me.

One afternoon, I looked up a DIY for making a dress.

Blue suede Zara flats
Armed with my great grandmother's Singer sewing machine, I
started sewing and and then taking the garment apart.

I had no idea what I was doing.

The measurements are off, there are parts that I need to go
back and re do.... but, I made the dress I am
wearing today...

That fabric is beautiful, and so is your dress! You've done so well! I'd be completely lost if I tried to sew anything!

I love sewing too and it's always trial and error. But in the end I always get something I can wear! Your dress is super! The second one will be easier.

It looks great! I love the print (of course, that is why you got the fabric in the first place) and the pop of turquoise is fun.

I think for your first attempt, it turned out great - i mean, you are wearing it and it's not the trash - so huge success!

I have dabbled with sewing for years, it's always so much work and effort and I always make tons of mistakes. I think that is why I eventually gave up.

The print of that dress is gorgeous. It's a simple little shift dress but so perfect. You did really well - you should be proud. Looks like it could be a Tory Burch or Traci Negoshian Dress. Really. =)
