Too much ?

A few weeks ago I was in line at the store waiting for
the cashier to ring up a pair of shoes.
Standing in front of me was this good looking
woman talking on her cel phone.
Talbot jeans - Ketchup white button down shirt - Vest Bluenotes - Franco Sarto red studded flats -
Kenneth Cole Reaction purple bag
As I patiently waited for my turn, I look at her
and all my eyes catch are brand names.
This pretty woman was like a Christmas tree
that had brands hanging on her branches !
She was standing tall in
a pair of Jimmy Choos, Tory Burch sunglasses
and carrying a Pandora paperbag.

With her arm bearing Tiffany bracelet she searched inside
her Salvatore Ferragamo bag and pulled out a Tory Burch wallet.

AND that is only what I could read that was branded.
Yes, I am nosy, get over that, but,
just how much is too much when it comes to
wearing so many branded items together ?

If you are nosy, I am nosy too - we all like to observe our fellow fashionistas : > I'm not one for a lot of visible brands, I like to be secretly smiling about my good deals!

It certainly passes the time in a queue!
I used to work as a journalist and my colleague said the definition of our profession was "professional nosey parker".
I wish you much happiness for the festive season and look forward to seeing your Christmas Day Pic.

Too funny! I recently bough a COach bag at the outlet totally on sale but I do find that carrying it certain places makes me self conscious. Weird huh? I love your purple bag :) Thanks for finding your way to my blog. Merry Christmas!!!!

My experience is that people who flaunt brands are one of two types (or both): insecure or pretentious.

Some seem to believe they can bask in the social prestige of others whose names are on their clothes -- which is absurd, 'cause all they did was buy the object. Others showcase expensive brands to advertise how "successful" they are -- which is equally absurd 'cause you can't buy success, only earn it.

I do love quality, but I hate items that feature logos. I find they tend to skimp on quality for the sake of the logo (one reason I cannot stand Tory Burch...everything is logo-ized and IMHO the stuff I've seen is not impressive quality at all for the price).

Nice outfit I love the vest over the button up shirt. I always used to see these type of ladies at work, the ones who wear way too many brands. I think that in some cases they're just trying to come off as something that they're not. Maybe they are trying to appear more wealthy, but the real wealthy people don't need to wear brands from head to toe.
