The Crooked House

It's a shame you can't see it in this picture.
However this house is crooked, it's leaning sideways.
I think it's from the 40's and it is one of the very few left on this street
which use to be a real pleasure to walk through.
Now all the houses have been torn down and empty lots sit there.

This house is a survivor.
Well kind of.
I think the reason it has survived is because they are asking over
a million for it.
Yep. It's the lot - they will tear it down and build one of the monstruous skycrapers you can get a peek of on the back.
Which I am totally against.
I know this is not a beauty but I see it as a simple wooden home,
one of the few left in the neighborhood.
For me, this house has a personality.
Whenever we go by this house my grandmother tells me that it belonged to a nurse.
She knew who the nurse was as it was her friend's husband's mistress.
She tells me about her and her friend spying on the nurse and
the husband.
I now know where my stalking gene come from.

I love old houses. And I hate when neighborhoods are ruined by mega homes where I live.

that is such a great story, it would be such a shame if it was torn down, not only because of the sky scrapers but because you lose the history and the stories. Beautiful dress! I also love the colour of your jewellery Lorena, very pretty :)

Wow, you look fabulous in that dress! And the heels are perfect with it.

Old homes have character. Concrete and steel structures lack that. Nice post.
