Self Evaluation: A Year After

A few days back my blog had its first birthday.
Since then I have been playing with the template in order to make it clean and simple.
I have also been trying to label the posts so I could have some sort of statistic.
By now you should know I am a bit of a control freak.
Things started to pop out, things that I did not like.
One of them was the excessive use of jeans.
In my almost 365 days of blog life I wore jeans 109 times, about 30% of the time.
It's like a uniform, a comfort zone.

Wherever you go: airports, movies, concerts, supermarkets, on the streets - if you look down everyone is wearing jeans.
I think I have about 12 to 15 pairs of jeans. I have more jeans than trousers.
I am totally shocked.
I have to change this or at least lower that percentage just a bit ;o)

Now, one of the things that I am happy about is that I am wearing more dresses.
If you told me a few years back that I would be wearing dresses 21% of the time... I would have laughed at you.  But, happens I am.

Another fun fact is that I do not buy expensive dresses. For example, this random pick of 6 dresses. The most expensive one was about 50.00 USD.
Can you guess which dress was the most expensive ?

Finally, I have always had a special love for old items.
Nothing fancy, just everyday stuff: bottles, glass pitchers, radios, tvs...
Little by little I have been able to incorporate that love of decades past
by adding a little vintage to my wear.
I have been lucky to have access to internet vintage finds, street markets,
local pawn shops and a Great Aunt who has been passing things down to me.
She has gifted me with blouses, shoes, earrings, belts and continues to do so.

As I said, this is just my first year of blogging.
It's amazing how many things you can get out of something so superficial ;o)
as some tend to say.

I love that you have percentages. You are awesome.

I know that the blog has stopped me from wearing jeans as often as I used to. It used to be at least four days a week, and now is more like twice a month.

I'm guessing the fifth dress was the most expensive.

And as long as you care about it, it isn't superficial.
