Happy Childhood

I had a happy childhood, much of it was because I lived with my grandparents.

My grandparents lived in a 1940's apartment building that had just 6 apartments, so we knew everyone there.
Their apartment was number 2 and above them lived a lady with her 3 daughters. This lady became my aunt, her daughters were not just friends but  sisters, basically family.
We played baseball, roller skated, shared clothes, meals, boyfriend stories and tears, we grew up together, my aunt always being there. I have pictures of us girls as toddlers and we have remained close friends.

My aunt passed due to the virus. It's not just the passing, it's everything, it's not being able to be there for them.  Not being able to visit, not being able to be physically there. Not being able to hug and hold and cry together. It's so lonely.

Today was tough.

Oh, Lorena, I am so sorry to hear of your aunt's passing. That really sucks. The family we choose is in some ways MORE to us than the family we're born to.

You are doing well with your Clothing As Armour - this is a very classy outfit. I love the scarf in your hair!

XO and big hugs to you, my dear friend.

I do like the classic black and white outfit but I'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt's passing. Even if she wasn't technically your aunt she sounds like family so you must really be feeling the loss. How difficult for you all :(

Dearest Lorena, I am profoundly sorry about your - and your family's - devasting loss. Please know that my heart, sympathy, support, and wishes of peace (to fill your own hearts once again) are with you around the clock. And that I am always just an email away if you ever need/want someone to talk privately to about anything you're going through.
