I have been labeling certain items of what I wear as "in transit". It just means I am selling them but wearing them because I love it but I cannot keep it because it's not the idea.
Today everything but the scarf is in transit.

It's nice you can get a little wear after buying pieces!
I couldn't do this as I'd spill something or tear something, haha! I give things one last wear and if I'm going to sell it then I don't wear it again after washing it!

That's a good way to put it - I noticed that term and thought that's what it meant. I'm much more emotional about my clothes, but ultimately, they sit in the giveaway pile for up to a year, so I can always grab my "regret-me-nots" if I change my mind.
