A few weeks ago, one afternoon I went with Natalie on a educational shopping experience. The idea was to show her a few tricks on finding, identifying, dating vintage garments and most important, regardless of the brand: focusing on quality. Or so we said.
It started off well, as we came across the black silk short sleeve top I am wearing today. It was brand new with tags but obviously a deadstock garment made by Silk House.
So I went on to explain what deadstock was, as in a garment that can be several years old, therefore probably dated, yet new with tags as it has been sitting in a warehouse unsold.
A little after that is where the educational part got lost in the thousands of garments available and we got carried away... and just shopped!

Such a fun summer suit set with the shorts! I really like your statement necklace with the black top too.
It's so easy for me to just get carried away and shop - or I should say it used to be, haha! I never get the opportunity now with the little ones, I browse less and overall that's better for my wallet! :)

Oh, I always get carried away! I think that's one of the fun things about shopping with someone, is to share the information we know about labels, and age, and sizing and all those fun fashion things we've learned along the way.
I love this classic outfit - the big chain is awesome.

I constantly get carried away. I'm terrible at sticking to whatever semblance of a budget I thought I might have had.
But I do love a good discounted silk top, and short suits, which are so cute!
