That simple

Red jeans Bandolino, almost identical here - Window pane print shirt Passport, similar here

Black tote bag Furla, similar on sale here - Black ankle strap flats Wendell Vince Camuto, almost identical under 11.00 USD
Watch Victorinox, identical on sale here - Red ribbon bracelet with gold tone heart charm, self made

I refuse to wear something just because its trending or every other person out there is wearing it. Its like having someone tell me what to do and me just doing it, without putting any thought into it, it's in fact an insult to my intelligence.
First of course is the basic question: "Do I like it?" even then sometimes I still do not go for an item because then I have to ask again "Does it look good on me? Will it suit me?" and even then it does not mean I will go for it. After that another set of questions are to follow in regards to the trend in question.
Then again, this is not the case for today's outfit. None of the items I am wearing today are worn because they are "on trend". The reason I am wearing these jeans is because they finally fit again and the shirt, well because it was hanging in the closet waiting for a second wear before it goes in the laundry bag. If it could all be that simple.

I think that is a wise way of dressing. I've fallen into trends before and end up not actually liking what I'm wearing/not wearing it at all. Staying true to you is best!

I love to try trends but only when I like them. Glad you wear what you like! Great combo here.

This basically describes how I evaluate what I'm going to wear each day (most of the time). Also, am a big fan of that top; I love the cut and pattern.

I love this outfit - it's very "you". The jeans are an amazing colour! And good job on getting into them again (I know how hard it is!).

I enjoy following the trends, just to know what they are, but I'm very headstrong in picking and choosing what's going to look good on me, and what I feel good in. I will never wear a trend just because it's a trend!

I'm the same - I'm much picker with what I buy now, and while I shop at high street stores so there are trendy things, I make sure that they are things that work for me :)

Seeing these photos just makes me want to wear my red jeans - hanging out for cooler weather here!

Hope you have a had a great week and have a lovely weekend ahead of you! We have a quiet one planned after being a bit unwell the last few days.

LOL I have the same feeling about clothes. I wear what I want! That top is pretty cute though.
