If I had to think of just one garment I always pack when traveling I'd have to say its a black pair of trousers. One that has just the right length that allows me to wear with flats and mid sized heels. How about you? What is that garment you rely on when traveling?

Mine is definitely black trousers too - I've never left on a trip without at least one pair in my suitcase. The same goes for a black dress of some type.

Black trousers belong also to the staples in my wardrobe and I think for me it is the same as for you that I pack at least one pair for each travel in my suitscase. The look with the floral blazer and the black trousers suits you very well!

I'm struggling to answer your question though - not sure if I'd say I'd always pack a scarf or a piece of denim, as I tend to pack at least one, if not both, depending on where I'm going to!

Good walking shoes/boots, and a dress that can be dressed up or down. A good jacket is also essential.

Black trousers are definitely perfect for trips since you can wear them so many different ways! Since I do more casual travel I swap them out for jeans, haha. LOOOOOVE that blazer, it's gorgeous!
(and Harry Potter isn't for everyone ;) But you should give the first book a try some time! It's a quick read)
