The Joy of Mixing

Fuchsia and green vintage Escada blazer, identical via Poshmark here  -  Gingham shirt from J. Crew here
White jeans Red Valentino - Doctor's bag Venezia - Nude heels Sam Edelman - Teal sunglasses Kenneth Cole

A vintage designer blazer, a thrifted shirt, a bag from a trip abroad, a belt from a discount store, sunglasses from TJMaxx... this is what I call the joy of mixing. Mixing vintage and current, designer and fast fashion and making it your own. What are your favourite mixes ?

I think this may be my favourite wear of this jacket on you - it's fabulous with the white wide-legged pants. You know I am all about the high-low fashion!

I liek the resulting outfit, and the mix of history of the pieces! :)

While I don't have quite as many vintage or designer pieces, I do love to wear my more expensive bags with cheaper clothes - sale purchases or thrift finds. To me it's more about how you enjoy the pieces together than having to have everything from a similar place.

I once had someone tell me my bags couldn't be real if I was wearing them with kmart shoes - I just laughed. How else would I have the money to splurge on them if I didn't save on other parts of my outfit? haha!
