Cost-per-wear trouser

Lately I have been looking into cost per wear a lot.
The cost per wear formula can work both ways:
Justify a cheap purchase or otherwise:
steer you to just buy better stuff.
Burgundy trousers Valerie Bertinelli -
Black button down shirt Da Moda
Black tote bag Michael Kors - Zebra print heels Bershka
Normally I do not think of cost per wear when
making a purchase, it usually comes to mind
upon considering letting a garment go.
At that moment it becomes a reason,
helps justify letting go. For example this 2012
purchase: Valerie Bertinelli trousers for 21.40 USD.
With today's wear CPW is down to 0.89 cents a wear.
Initially they got a lot of wear, then I realised they were
a bit low cut and was not at ease wearing them with
tucked tops so I transitioned to wearing it with blazers
 and longer tops.
Surprisingly 24 wears later, they're in good shape,
even though its probably been washed at least
15 times.
No fading, to tears - just a loose button.
As you can imagine, today is its last wear.
Last wear with me.

Ah yes, cost per wear. This is usually something I think about more when I'm making a big purchase, wondering how long it's going to take me to make it worth the price. Glad the trousers had a good run, and got to a nice low cost per wear!

Those pants definitely served you well! Gotta love getting a low cost per-wear.
Sadly the items I spend the most on are usually ones that still have a high cost per wear, and the cheaper items go nice and low, haha! Oh well...I guess it evens out

I definitely use cost per wear to justify expensive purchases, although sometimes I'm never sure if I get it low enough before I sell them on....with bags it's easier to do as I can usually sell to recoup my costs or close to it most of the time.

It's a shame to see those pants go - they have served you well! :)

As I have gotten older I try to keep in mind cost per wear when making a purchase but maybe that is because now I can appreciate the value of a dollar.Lol.

These pants definitely have a fab cost per wear value. I tend to wear a lot of the same items in my closet, so I'd say that they're doing pretty well for themselves. Some things I don't wear much at all, but those are usually the pieces that are sent to me for free and not the ones that I bought myself.

So amazing fabulous looks with these stylish burgundy pants at their heart. This post is such an inspiration for anyone who may be wondering how to style a similar pair of pants (or even a skirt in the same colour).

I need to look at my closet more when it comes to cost-per-wear. Too bad those pants are worn for one last time. The maroon/bourdeaux color and classic fit makes them perfect for Fall and for work. =)
