It's a tricky one! Is there another brown top or turtleneck that you love more often? Then it would be good to let this one go. It seems like a great basic though!

I normally would not like it, but it is fab with this chunky necklace and back. I agree it could be something that has to be styled carefully to avoid looking dull, but I think you are up to the challenge! It could be fun to pair it with black, as well, maybe.
Hmmm, I totally see why you're on the fence here. I like the colour and in general enjoy turtlenecks, but I've never been that wild about ones with partial length sleeves, as they aren't always terribly becoming (and, for better or worse, they remind me a lot of the 1990s). As such, I'd veer more towards passing it on, but would add that it looks wonderful on you.
