My George brand LBD has been around for a while.
Black dress George - Metal belt - Zebra print shoes Bershka - Mustard clutch Pull & Bear |
I purchased it at the Woodbridge, VA Walmart and
I don't think at the time I ever imagined it would
get so much wear.
It's been worn to summer night cocktails,
layered and taken to important meetings.
It has been paired with heels and flats.
Worn with short and long necklaces.
It's traveled to Europe and to South America.
It's been tighter and then again loose - its even been stood up.
Today it's being worn with a metal belt I received
as a hand me down from a friend.
Amazing what a garment can remind you of.

It's amazing how versatile a little black dress can be. It's the perfect blank canvas, just screaming for your personal touch!
That is a lovely dress, a classic LBD works in so many ways and it's great you've been able to get so much use from yours! :)
Always nice when we can look back on all the different ways we've worn things to and all the memories attached! :)

It's a great dress and that belt just takes it to another level.

I know that people like to slam Walmart and their offerings for a wide range of reasons, and I'm not saying that at least some of them aren't justified, but I think that there are some fashion gems to be had there for sure. Case in point, much like this elegant LBD of yours, I've had a pair of black 1940s style faux suede pumps that I got from them for several years now and they remain one of my five most frequently worn pairs of heels to this day. I'll be so sad when they finally give up the ghost. :(
Love this who chic look, very much including that great silver metal belt.

While I am neither a fan, nor a supporter of walmart, I'm glad at least one thing has stood the test of time, washes and wear.
