Have you ever had one or several posts that
have a lot of views but no comments ?
Pink dress Valentino - Nude heels Sam Edelman - Blue bag Coach |
This happened recently on a post from a few days ago
and I could only wonder, as one of the things
I love about blogging is the interaction.
What makes you comment or not ?

I usually respond to something someone has said about how they FEEL about their clothes, or something about their lives that interests me. I often scroll through thinking, "Nice outfit," but maybe another post catches my eye instead and I comment on there and it's sort of for all the posts I've just read.
Like you, I also post very frequently after all these years! I know lots of people look at my blog and never comment. I definitely get more responses when I talk about something personal.
Oh, and this is a KILLER dress on you!
That is a stunning dress, even better that it has pockets! :)
Sometimes I want to comment on a blog, but baby's nap time runs short and I get interrupted and close the computer planning to come back to it later, and never do! Most of the time I try to comment when I'm enjoying posts, for whatever reason, as I know it's encouraging to receive comments, I like when I get comments :)
Away From The Blue Blog
I'm finding more people like to read, rather than respond. I have a group of bloggers that I read and respond, but I read larger blogs and don't comment. I just don't have the time.
That dress looks amazing on you Lorena.

A lot of the time I comment on my friends blogs. But then for bigger blogs where I know they probably won't read the comment I don't bother. But then I also don't comment if I can't think of anything good to say, haha.
But I know what you mean, I've hardly been getting any comments lately but still getting a good amount of views...people just don't comment as much

I like how the fabric in this dress flows in several ways, creating interesting visual effects. It looks very sophisticated on you.
Like you, I enjoy interaction on blogs and sometimes wish there was more. Many readers don't comment because, while they like our posts, they don't have anything to add. That happens to me at times, too. Especially when the topic is something women experience in real-life and I don't have the background to contribute.
For the most part, I comment on a post that strikes me in someway. I love the outfit, or the poster has shared something that resonates with me, or has asked a question. If it's a very popular blogger I will look, but never comment, because they get enough. If I see a post with no comments, sometimes I will because it looks lonely.
First of all that pink dress is so pretty, elegant, classy and unique. It has happened to me too. I once had a post with 345 views and only 12 comments. I think for a style blogger, the outfit is first and foremost what makes me comment. Also, I only comment if I have read the post. I comment regularly on about 30 blogs give or take. I used to comment more here but now I come a couple of times a month and do a binge commenting. Hope you don't mind lol.
