Memorable and Invaluable

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Ryan
from Invaluable.com an online auction market place
asking to share a story behind a most prized jewel.
Invaluable offers a variety of jewellery, including
watches, rings, and necklaces for auction.
Black patent flats Viascar - Coach bag
So I began thinking if I had anything that had been
passed down through my family or maybe something
picked up while thrifting or traveling…
Jeans Zara - Houndstooth button down shirt - Striped sweater Tommy Hilfiger
While there are plenty of both: family and thrifted,
I chose to share an item that began its story with me.

It was ring I had made for my birthday this year,
as a gift from me, to me.

My grandmother had given me an amethyst
she purchased many years ago, in Brazil, I think -
and I had several pieces of gold from old and
and broken jewellery.

So after several hours on the internet looking for a simple
design and one trip to the jeweller, the idea of placing this
amethyst and two rubies together in a ring made
with old gold, this item came together.

Its story begins with me.

Wow, that is a stunning ring! I love that it's from you to you - what a special piece!

Thank you so much for the offer of any of your edits, but I'll pass - I think my edit pile is big enough already! :) If you lived here, I'd invite you over this weekend to help me go through it!

Oh wow what a beautiful ring - and a great story behind it! :)

I always treasure the pieces that have the most meaning attached to them too, it's wonderful you could make something so special :)

What a lovely piece, and I think it's fabulous that you designed it yourself, and it carries on an old history into a new legacy.
