Last week I took some cIothing to a thrift shop. |
Blue suit New York & Company - Yellow heels Tsubo - Striped tank top - Vintage scarf |
Before taking the garments there I called the store owner.
She informed me that they were not receiving suits,
garments with bows or girly dresses.
Apparently these things are passé.
I laughed a little, as I've got all of these in my closet
and they are not going anywhere.

I like your printed scarf with your suit! :)
I can't believe suits will ever go out of style, or girly dresses! They are closet staples surely?
Away From The Blue
Hahaha, that is part of the reason I hate consigning. Like I really feel like having my closet and style judged by some stranger. How does one define a girly dress anyway? Perhaps ones with bows?
Muy bonito!!!Feliz lunes guapa!!!
They look good to me! http://soworkweekchic.blogspot.com/
This pant-suit is so elegant, with or without the scarf. And you are always so good about prging your closet, Lorena. =)
Oh wow, I've never heard of a thrift store saying that they didn't want clothing that was still in good, wearable shape. Consignment stores, sure, they tend to be picky and often want only seasonal things at different points in the year, but to think that a thrift store would turn down something just because it might not be the most in vogue item right now is almost gobsmacking!
Is there a local classified website you could perhaps try selling or giving them away on instead?
Good luck!

Ha, that's hilarious. Seriously, that's way too picky, though. Love seeing "our" shoes!
