Coin Necklace

During my failed attempt at organising my
accessories, I came across this coin necklace.

Grey skirt Casual - Yellow blouse LuckyCom - Grey and yellow pumps Kelsey Dagger
Its been worn once or twice - maybe.

Silver envelope clutch bag Zara - Teal sunglasses Kenneth Cole Reaction
Today, I thought I would give a try to wearing it .

While I am grateful for so much, I cannot but
have mixed feeling on the many unworn items
that just take up space-

I have been down this road before and
have yet to find a way out.

In the meantime I will just keep on trying.

I really like that yellow top on you Lorena! :)

Your coin necklace is cute, but if you don't wear it often and you don't have any special attachment to it it might be good to let it go. It's interesting though, I had a wardrobe detox session with a personal stylist and when I showed her all the belts I have..I expected to be told to let a few go. But she says she rarely tells people to get rid of accessories! Except scarves, she had a field day getting rid of a lot of my scarf collection haha! My jewellery remained safe though ;)

What a pretty top and necklace. If you get bored with the necklace, maybe you can spend it!

It's really cool! I love that blend of different types of chain. I could see this looking awesome over a classic white button down, perhaps with a dark denim blazer. It works terrifically with yellow as you've styled it here, too.

Keeping your closet in check is a never ending battle. Sometimes I feel like the size of your closet has no right to dictate how many things you can have - you didn't choose your closet, it was just there and you have to deal with it.

on the other hand, having clothes all over the place, things so tightly packed that they always get wrinkled, and not being able to find things is some powerful motivation to weed out what isn't essential.

of course, no matter how much I take out, more always comes in.

And I love this yellow grey combo. super pretty, and I adore that skirt on you.

love the yellow and the necklace!

i have so many things, and many of it remains unused and forgotten. it is sad. i believe there is a trend right now that i should try to embrace -- where one buys less and tries to enjoy things/life more. we all have so many things, and we always want more. i am so guilty of this.

i was watching a tv segment on this obscure, foreign island that had not been subjected to western culture. their language did not have a word/translation for the word "WANT". they did not even understand the meaning of the word. in this culture they just live -- finding food that they need and enjoying life. they aren't all caught up in WANTING things and competing to get more than they need. i found it strange and interesting, and so different than the way i live. food for thought for me, for sure.
