Chevronic

My chevron dress makes an appearance once again.

Chevron dress Isaac Mizrahi for Target - Red bow belt Forever 21 - Red heels Bievel

I've had it since 2009 and have worn it only 3 times since then,
well now 4 :)

Something about this dress gives me a fake vintage feel..

Matryoshka earrings and red bow belt Forever 21
I realize that I do not wear it often because there is something about the fit
I am not too convinced about.
So I googled the dress hoping to find others wearing it and I must confess
that this dress is awesome on Alyssa here

It was a reminder, that at the end, it is all about the fit.

My mom had a chevron-striped long dress in the 70s - I wish I'd nabbed it! I like this, but the fit in the top is a little off.

it is so cute! i'd totally wear it. in fact i have at least two dresses that are very similar to it!

p.s. i wear a half-slip with one of mine. it makes the fit look better -- just a little smoother. i know slips are old-fashioned, but sometimes they help -- at least for me!

I had a chevron skirt. I just sold it because I didn't wear it that much. It's a great print! You look pretty.

There's a definite 1950s vibe to this lovely chevron dress. I don't see that as a bad thing at all. It doesn't come across as costume-y retroish at all, just really classic, feminine and lovely.

What a fun 'of the moment' dress, which is awesome, because it's from a few years back! I guess if it feels wrong, it probably is, but I think it looks great! Sometimes I can remedy a fit issue with a different bra or shapewear, and sometimes it just isn't worth the battle.

Oh I think it fits you great. Chevron was so big in late 2012 and thru 2013 yet your dress is from 2009. It goes to show you that trends come and go. Pretty much everything is stylish as long as you feel fabulous on it. I love the retro feel of this dress. =)

Hi Lorena - I like this dress on you, but I think it would look better if it were hemmed 1 or 2 inches shorter. Its now hitting you below the knee and cutting off your legs, instead of hitting you at the knee and showing off your legs. I clicked thru and noticed that on Alyssa, it hits her right at the knee. Maybe a seamstress could fix it for you?
