I've had this blog for a few years now. |
BCX black high waisted trousers - Mostaza print top - Black tank - Kenneth Cole Reaction black wedges - Roberto Cavalli black tote |
It began as a way to document what I wore.
Years have passed and nowadays things have changed.
The question now is, should I share this blog
with friends ? (they don't know about it)
What are the pros and cons ?

I did, slowly, with select family and friends, and it's been a good experience. My parents and sister all follow my blog now, and even post from time to time. I told a few co-workers too, since we talk about clothes or fashion together.
The downside is that I do have to be careful about what I say, but you don't post a lot of personal info so I don't think you will have a problem.
I basically tell everyone I know about my blog, but I was really shy about it at the beginning. It's so much a part of you, Lorena! I think you should tell your friends.
Keep in mind, though, most of them - once they check it out once or twice - will never read it! I have about 4 loyal friends who check it daily, but most of my friends never do.
I absolutely say go for it! This blog has been an important part of your life for a long time now and something that you pour your heart into. I'm a super shy and reserved person myself and fully understand the trepidation the comes with telling your loved ones about your blog, but I really do think it's a great idea and am happy that I did so with my family/friends and Chronically Vintage (some of my loved ones even read my site now, which is really touching).

I say yes, share it. It is you or at least a part of you and a window to that part of you. If some people are too judgy, who cares? You are who you are and never feel bad about it. Be proud....that being said, I recently got a little blog shy when moving to los angeles. I havent told many of my new friends about it, but lots of friends back east know and so do family:)

I have not shared my blog with too many friends or family. There are a couple, but I chose them carefully. I chose to share mine with people I know who would understand what I was doing and why. Its a limited group!
It depends, For me it took a while to share my blog with my friends, but I have only shared with a handful. But, all of my family knows about my blog. :) xo
My friends know about my blog - and help me take photos for it sometimes too! It's nice being able to ask them for a quick photo when you're out together.
I don't think any of them read it often, but they know I have it. A few work colleagues do as well, I keep the blog really light and don't say much so I'm not afraid to share it around.
I think you should but I must admit I do not share mine freely. It feels so personal but Kristen is right - you don't really put anything personal so you should be okay. Let us know ;)
Loving this look!
Some of my friends and family know of my blog but I tell them to not look at it. I like it being separate from my "real life" even though my blog is real life it feels weird to have them read my thoughts...
(and don't worry, I'll show my purchases soon! :) )

My friends and some family know about my blog. Everybody's situation is different. Once you open it up, there's no going back! HaHaHa Think about it if you're unsure.

Guapisima! Me encantan los pantalones!
hmmmm. it is dicey. i like having an annonymous blog so that i can say whatever i want. but my boyfriend reads it, and so does my sister (well, sometimes they do), so i sort of have to watch what i say. at least a little bit.
