The length is also a little odd - I see it's too long to be a shirt and
too short to be a dress.
I find it difficult to wear...
I cannot imagine it being worn with anything else than jeans.
Any suggestions ?

I think it would look great with some flowy white or red palazzo pants or pants with a very wide flare that are not wide leg pants.
they way you are wearing it right now makes it seem more like a jacket than a top - maybe try it open if the tie bothers you?

I like this beautiful robe, although I can see the problem you describe. Have you tried it with dressier slacks?

This kimono is so beautiful! I think it looks like it hits just above your knees, definitely long enough to be worn as a dress - maybe with leggings underneath if you're unsure it would be too short?
Try wearing it with a jean pencil skirt or with a white pencil skirt. I love the Kimono, looks very ethnic - dont get rid of it.
