A scarf and pearls

I have been wanting to wear this scarf for a while.
It's part of a vintage load of goodies that was given to me
by my great aunt. Just imagine I have a suitcase loaded with scarves.
Vintage scarves...

I am not good with scarves.

Black trousers Charter Club - Cable & Gauge black sweater - Red vintage scarf -
Chinese Laundry pumps - Purple bag Kenneth Cole Reaction
I don't know how to store them, so they can be easily found..

I don't know how to tie them no matter how many tutorials I watch.

Then, there is the fear of looking matronly with a scarf.

So wearing a scarf is a titanic effort on my part.

Suggestions on wearing and storing them are welcome.
Just think that I probably have around 80 of them.

I have mine on those sturdy wooden coathangers and I put plastic shower curtain rings on the bottom (straight part) of the coathanger and then i put 1 scarf through each curtain ring. They are easy to see and easy to get on and off if you put each scarf on an individual curtain ring. I then hang them according to size/length/shape and finally by colour. I am very anal :-). Hope this helps.

I wish I were more organized with my scarves - they're just jumbled in an old hat box.

This is a lovely scarf, Lorena - how nice to have all of those vintage ones!

Oh, I love it! Also like how you've styled it with the long pearls.

As far as storing them, I bought a scarf hanger from IKEA last time I was in northern VA that was cheap and works great. But I have also see the shower curtain ring thing - soooo cheap and kind of brilliant. Since scarves are lightweight you could even use a plastic hanger as long as you split them up between several hangers - snap the shower curtain rings around the bottom of the hanger, slide the scarves in, and done.

Nice scarf and a fun combination!

As for storage: I don't know if you have Ikea where you live but have this to store my scarfs: http://www.ikea.com/be/nl/catalog/products/70108912/ and this: http://www.ikea.com/be/nl/catalog/products/00207034/ The last one hangs on a clothing hanger on an old curtainrail;-)

Whoa, you have many scarves! I'm not very good at wearing them either, but I like the way you have tied this one in this look. Jill at Everything Just So is having a "scarf" event on May that I'm taking part in. You might want to join.

I am loving all your bright outfits this week: blues, greens, yellow, reds, OH MY!! Looking wonderful. That is one beautiful and nicely-draped sweater. I had on a gorgeous light red sweater yesterday which draped so pretty. =) I love your blue pumps, also. I am jealous you have so much bright blue in your closet. =P

Now: scarves are my most favorite accessory after shoes. I owned at least 60 before I left USA and have added at least 20 more since I got to Albania (some were given to me). I have some vintage silk ones as well. Your is simply beautiful and I like the way you knotted it here and layered it with a long set of pearls. =)

P.S. Love all the clipping you have done to your photos. Please show me what website/program you use please? Hope it's easy cause I use photoshop but don't know all its crafy editing of it, just the simple stuff.

Take Care, Lorena. =)
