How many years ?

This week I am looking into how old the clothing
that I am wearing are.
I have always wondered what the "life span" of
our everyday clothes is and have absolutely no clue.
How long is a pair of shoes to last ?
A shirt ?
A pair of jeans ?

Cha Cha Vente striped top - Black Target Limited Collection skirt - Anne Klein animal print flats - Nicole Lee red bag
Today's skirt and top are about 3 years old,
the bag and the shoes are from last year.

How about you ?
How old is your top ?

You come up with the best questions, Lorena! My shirt today is about one year old, and my shoes are thrifted -- they look a couple of years old. You look great, as per always : >

I love that you're doing this! My jeans and my cardi are a year old, my belt is probably three years old. I got my top as a hand-me-down just this summer, so I have no idea how old it really is.
I love your whole look - it works so well with your nails.

OMG, your nails are so cute. I've been wanting to try the trend of different colors lately and I like how you put this outfit together. Leopard flats are so chic right now. My top is over a year old and the blazer over it I bought recently . :)
Thanks so much for stoppin by

I'm digging those nails Lorena! Loving your striped draped top too! AND OHHHHHHHHHHHH that red bag! My tops vary in age! I usually wear out my summer clothes, because it stays so warm here. I have more winter wear, because there's not much winter. HAHAHA Looking great lorena!

Yes, I think about clothing age! I like having my blog where I can often go back and find the exact day I wore something for the first time. Sometimes it's shocking how quickly I get bored of my clothes...on the other hand today I wore a sweater that was at least five years old...I guess it depends on the item...

Three years isn't bad at all! It's fun to get new things, but working through old clothes can be just as much fun. I think the oldest anything in my wardrobe would be is about 6 years old...ooh wait. I have a shirt that's going on 8 years old. Not bad for a 21 year old!

I'm digging all the animal print in this post! My favorite!

My husband said today, of a pair of shoes that I was getting rid of, "You just got those last year! It seems so disposable!" I reminded him that my blog (and fashion) is Ephemera. But the shoes were going to a new home.

Most of my clothes are not that old, although many pieces/accessories are several decades old.
